Welcome to
Edu-Kate
Hi, I'm Kate Kowalski, an experienced elementary educator and host to the podcast. I created Edu-Kate because I believe education should always put children first. Too often, decisions in education serve the system instead of the students, and I want to be part of changing that.
Edu-Kate is a podcast that brings together some of the world's leading education thinkers to help teachers and parents better understand how children learn, grow, and thrive. Rather than chasing the latest trends, each episode features thoughtful conversations with leading voices in education, child development, and wellbeing, turning research into practical strategies that can be used immediately in classrooms and at home.
The conversations are evidence-informed, practical, and optimistic. My goal isn't to tell teachers what they're doing wrong—it's to share ideas, strategies, and perspectives that make teaching more effective, more enjoyable, and ultimately better for children.
My role is to ask the questions classroom teachers and parents are asking, and to make expert knowledge practical, relatable, and easy to apply. Whether you're an educator looking for fresh ideas, a school leader seeking meaningful conversations, or a parent wanting to better understand how children learn, I hope Edu-Kate inspires, challenges, and supports you on your journey.
Thanks for being here. I'm so glad you've joined the conversation.
